How to Manually Install S2SiteAdmin & Other Features In SharePoint MOSS 2007

by on August 5, 2011

If you are missing features in your installation, you can manually install all available features. If the features do not exist in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES you can try copying from another server to the one you are working on.

  1. Open the Command Prompt
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN in the command prompt
  3. Once you are in the BIN directory, type in “psconfig –cmd installfeatures
  4. Wait a minute and you should see a confirmation that there were no new features to be installed or that new features have been installed. If the features were installed you will see something like the following:image
  5. S2SiteAdmin should now be installed along with a bunch of other features

If you were having an issue installing .stp files due to missing features, this should have cleared it up!
