How to Manually Install S2SiteAdmin & Other Features In SharePoint MOSS 2007

If you are missing features in your installation, you can manually install all available features. If the features do not exist in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES you can try copying from another server to the one you are working on.

1. Open the Command Prompt
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN in the command prompt
3. Once you are in the BIN directory, type in “psconfig –cmd installfeatures”
4. Wait a minute and you should see a confirmation that there were no new features to be installed or that new features have been installed. If the features were installed you will see something like the following:
5. S2SiteAdmin should now be installed along with a bunch of other features

If you were having an issue installing .stp files due to missing features, this should have cleared it up!
