Set Multiple Value Lookup In SharePoint 2007 Workflows

If you open a list with a set multi-value field in excel you may see:

FEDVIP Carrier Inquiry;#1, Response to a Letter or Email;#12

but the order to pass it in variable is:

12;#Response to a Letter or Email;#4;#FEDVIP Enrollment Inquiry

 

You can even pass the variables, say in subject and use it to populate by creating a calculated field using excel string functions to split the content from an indicator string:

EmailType: 12;#Response to a Letter or Email;#4;#FEDVIP Enrollment Inquiry

=MID([E-Mail Subject],12,LEN([E-Mail Subject]))
