SSRS Reports Subscription, Processing Options Errors on Reports Web Application

by on April 28, 2014

An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database. (rsReportServerDatabaseError) Get Online Help

Invalid object name ‘ReportsTempDB.dbo.ExecutionCache’.

I thought perhaps it was a simple issue to do with leaving the default name on the upgrade, but change the name you just get the following:imageimage

An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database. (rsReportServerDatabaseError) Get Online Help

Invalid object name ‘ReportServerTempDB.dbo.TempCatalog’. Could not use view or function ‘ExtendedCatalog’ because of binding errors.

No help!

Solution

use ReportServerNameHere
GO
SELECT * FROM syscomments
WHERE text LIKE ‘%YourOldReportsTempDBNameHere%’

NOTE: I checked both the Report Server and the Report Server Temp DB’s.

In my case it returned a trigger containing the old ReportsTempDB name, which I updated (right click > modify > change reference > execute query)
