How to Connect to a Users Terminal Server Session Account & Remote Control

How to Start a Remote Control Session for a User with Terminal Services in Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2

1. Go to server

2. Start > all programs > administrative tools > terminal services manager

3. Click on This computer > in right window, right select user

4. Right click on user account > select Remote Control

How to Start a Remote Control Session for a User with Terminal Services in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2

  1. Go to server
  2. Start > administrative tools >  Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Services Manager
  3. right click on user account > Remote Control
  4. Wait for user to allow

To End and Escape from a remote control session:

Ctrl + * (start on number pad)

You should get the option to set this at the start of a session
