How to Stop The Storage Quota Email Warning by Setting A Higher Percentage Limit In SharePoint 365

  1. Go to your SharePoint 365 administration portal (must have proper permissions) Example: https://mybusiness-admin.sharepoint.com
  2. Under Administration Center > click on the “Manage Site Collections” linkclip_image001
  3. Hover over the offending site collection, tick off checkbox
  4. In the ribbon, click on Storage Quota button to open the “set storage quota” popupclip_image002
  5. Set “Email to site collection administrators….” percentage (%) text box to the percentage appropriate to your business needsclip_image003
  6. Click on save

NOTE: it may take a few minutes for SharePoint to propagate the change
